The Fallstone Board of Directors will hold the next Board Meeting on January 26, 2010 at 7:00pm at Tilden Middle School. All owners are encouraged to attend.  The Board will be introducing a new Board Member and discussing landscaping proposals along Woodglen as well as JBG's contribution to the project.

An owner at Fallstone had their chimney repaired and has recommended her contractor.  She has also provided us with before and after pictures, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Fallstone is attempting to develop a community list serv.  This would be a list that all owners would have access to and would allow them to email neighbors about questions related to the community (ex:  babysitter recommendations, cabinets for sale, contractor questions).  If you would like to have your email address added to the list, or have any questions about the listserv, contact the property manager, Barbara Jensen, at bjensen@qpmgmt.com or 301-941-8040.

A complaint was recently brought against Fallstone Homeowners Association by a member of the Fallstone community regarding certain actions taken by the Board of Directors.  Click here to read the complaint, the response from the Board, the response from the Fallstone attorney, and the Mediation Document.

A few residents have indicated that they have woodpeckers pecking at the pressboard on their chimneys which is causing damage.  Apparently an inferior type of pressboard was used during construction of the chimneys at Fallstone which has rotted and become infested with bugs that the pesky peckers are going after.

If you are experiencing this problem, a group rate for its repair has been negotiated by one of our Board of Directors with Summit Contractors to replace the pressboard.  Please visit www.fallstone.net for their contact information or call them at 301-869-6343.

We continue to get complaints from residents that their visitors have no place to park.  If you are a resident of the Fallstone community, we urge you to please park in your garage or on your driveway.  In addition, refrain from parking more than two cars on your driveway as inevitably the third car will stick out. Unfortunately it has become necessary to begin towing vehicles whose owners continue to violate our rules and regulations, specifically:

“No vehicle shall be parked in such a manner as to impede or prevent ready access to any homeowner’s driveway or in-street parking space, or to impede the flow of traffic.”
“There shall be no commuter or long-term parking in any common area, which is private property.”
“Limited on-street parking is intended for the occasional use of Fallstone guests.”

Planning on painting your home? Please remember to check the approved paint color list before you begin painting.  Be sure that your painting contractor uses the appropriate color or you will be asked to repaint.
